Set Up Your New Windows Laptop

This article will walk you through the following steps to set up your new Windows laptop:

Log in to your laptop

  1. Before you begin, you will need to download the Okta Verify app from your phone’s app store. Okta Verify is used for receiving push notifications when you sign in to your account.

2. Turn on your computer. The first screen you see should prompt you to choose a region.

3. Choose a keyboard.

4. When prompted to add a second keyboard, select Skip.

5. Sign in to your network.

6. Your computer will reboot at least once while it completes the setup process.

7. When you get to the sign-in page, enter your corporate email address.
Example: firstname.lastname@imaginelearning.com

Sign in to Okta and set up Okta Verify

After entering your email address on the Microsoft sign in page, the Okta sign in page will pop up.

Existing employees: After signing in to Okta, skip to the next article, Sign in to apps. 

New Hires: Set up Okta Verify and change your password, using the steps below.

  1. Visit the Okta sign-in page: https://okta.imaginelearning.com , and then enter your corporate email address and password. Use the temporary password that was provided to you by HR.

2. Click on Configure Factor.

3. Select your phone type and click on Next.

4. A QR code will display on your screen.

5. On your phone, open the Okta Verify app that you downloaded in Step 1. Tap the plus (+) to add an account.

6. On the Choose Account Type screen, tap on Organization.

7. Tap on Scan a QR Code. Use your phone camera to scan the QR code displayed on your laptop screen. Your phone is now set up to receive push notifications when you sign in to your account.

8. Next, you will be prompted to change your password.

Sign in to apps

Once your desktop loads, you will need to sign in to the following apps: Outlook, OneDrive, Slack, and Zoom:
